First Grade/Penguins

Last week was Gullywasher/Jesus is our refuge in times of trouble.  God speaks through the thunder and shows His power in the storms.

This week is Andy and the Lion / Jesus is Servant to All.  Character study: kindness/service; State: Missouri  (the story does not take place in a particular state.  I chose MO as we transition from the SW states toward the east in geography.)

Our show and tell is about large breed wild cats ie: bobcat, cheetah, cougar, jaguar, leopard, lion, lynx, tiger and many more.  Please help your child choose one and tell us a few, 3-5 things about it: origin, habitat, food source, what makes it different from other wild cats, etc. Here's one of many sites I found: http://dialspace.dial.pipex.com/agarman/bco/species.htm and wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felidae  If they have a stuffed animal and/or a picture to help us visualize the animal, even better ; )
