1st-2nd grades will continue to work on their Wax Museum preparations this week. Students need to bring their book with them, as we will make our posters and finalize speeches this week. We will practice telling stories next week, and are shooting to invite parents in for our Wax Museum on Monday, February 20 (President's Day, so hopefully many of our parents/grandparents will be able to join us). Be thinking about costumes, should your child wish to get that creative (no class time will be spent creating costumes).
3rd-5th grades will finish giving persuasive speeches tomorrow.
6th-8th grades need to bring all of their debate research materials to class tomorrow. The girls' debate topic: School uniforms should be worn by all American students. The boys' debate topic: The legal driving age in Kansas should be reduced back down to 16. Students need to know their debate points, but do not forget to consider what the other side might say -- you need to rebut their points.
