In ONE WEEK all of our hard work will come to fruition! We are so excited!!
A couple of outstanding details...
Everyone needs to have their COMPLETED poster board turned in to me on MONDAY (it should include a picture of their person). There is no more class time remaining to work on them, so these will need to be finished at home over the weekend. As of yesterday, the following students reported having completed their poster: Chelsie, Evan, Micah, Hudson, Levi and Ben.
All students have written their story and are well on their way to feeling comfortable telling it from memory. I am so proud of them!!
And everyone needs a costume. The follow students reported having their costume finished: Jaxen, Hudson, Levi, and Ben.
Please touch base with your student to see where they are at and let me know if I can help you in any way - tonyashrader@everestkc.net.
To celebrate all of the students' hard work, we will enjoy a little treat in class as we go through our final rehearsal on Monday. Every student will deliver their story to the entire class.
Wednesday we will set up our Museum - marking places on the carpet, hanging posters on the walls, and walking through what their exit and positioning will look like on Thursday night. I am so excited for them!
Parents, thank you so much for your support and encouragement! A few students wanted nothing to do with this project at first, but the excitement is palpable now. I know the Wax Museum is going to be a huge hit, as your young speakers have come a very long way and thoroughly prepared for this.
See you at the Museum!
